Ultrasound has three major effects on human tissues (Mechanical effect, Warm effect and Physicochemical effect).
Mechanical effect:
When ultrasonic waves are transmitted in human tissues,cells and body fluids become the medium for ultrasonic transmission in the body, which can cause cells to produce relative movement between cells.
Warm effect:
Ultrasound can generate heat when it acts on the body, and it can also selectively heats. Ultrasonic generates more heat at the interface of two different media, especially the local hyperthermia on periosteum.
Physicochemical effect:
Based on the mechanical action and thermal action of ultrasonic waves, many physical or chemical changes can be excited.
